Vivien before. She was a very hard pull. They wouldn’t release her because they said “She’s already as good as dead!” and that she “might not be so nice once she’s healthy again…” Upon her arrival at her local shelter as a stray, the vet “examined” her and ordered her to euthanasia as a mercy because “in my four years being here, I have never seen anyone interested in adopting a dog looking like this one.”

When her savior, Roberta, tried to pull her on the day she was going to be killed, the vet told her that Vivien has probably never known a single moment of happiness for her entire short life.

And this is Vivi now! Only two months of TLC has made this difference, and now Vivi is looking for a good home. Her mange is gone and her fur is growing back, and her sores are healing beautifully. Vivi is 1-2.5 years old, friendly, some basic manners, likes walks, no prey drive, loves to play, especially with sticks, zero food-toy aggression, and an all-around sweet disposition. She lives with a 9 year old child who she is excellent with, and a man as well as a woman, so Vivi doesn’t discriminate. She suffers from separation anxiety so someone who would be willing to put the time in for basic training and confidence building would be ideal.

SIGNAL BOOST. This dog deserves love. Joon was in the shelter for 4.5 years, and I’m happy to say that I think I’ve shown her what love it over the past 5 years we’ve spent together. Someone please do the same for Vivi.
